Your life... will be... a testimony to what you spent your time and attention on. This testimony will be given its signal colors... by the motivation... the intention... that attended all of the things... you spent your time and attention on. Everything that was the focus... of your time and attention... was made so... in the formation zone of your mind... where replicating images, and the consistency of their appearances... in the mind... accounted for the force and lasting impact of the events that occurred in your life.

The power that was expressed in your feelings... was the determinant... of how deeply your character was etched by the passion you experienced. In the Bible... in Revelations... there is a statement that says; “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.” It means you should be hot or cold, but never tepid. Be one way or the other. Don't be wishy-washy.

Observe the confusion created with The Bible... in present times... and the concealing of mysteries... by distorting the text. It used to say; “be not deceived... even the devil is transformed into an angel of light at the given moment.” Now you get a smorgasbord of twistings and turnings and can't find that original quote anymore. Look at all the versions there are now.

The Usual Suspects... who now control the language of The Bible... don't want you to realize that everything serves God. PERIOD.

People who can get things done in this life are in the minority. Ten percent of the people make things happen. The rest go along with the program... for good or ill... as the case may be. Very few people walk the road of life with God as their constant companion. God makes sure of that by putting everyone who claims to want to walk with God... through certain tests... which reveal whether there is any real truth to it.

You want your life ripped apart at the seams and then remade in some strange and unusual fashion? Try pestering God about things you are fundamentally insincere about. I would like to point out that The Divine gives you EVERYTHING you ask him for... at one point or another. It is not the fault of The Divine that you did not actually want any of the things... conditions... and events that you were so worked up about before you got them.

Seemingly fortunate children's eyes light up at Christmas. Oh goody! Sweet things to eat. New toys to play with. Soon enough... the sweet things are only a repeating memory... a developing hunger and the toys are either broken or abandoned soon enough. Only when they are functional items do they tend to stay around; like bicycles and baseball mitts. Everything outside of you is a distraction from what is inside you. It is the reason that God is lonely and... so are you.

I walk through... have walked through many crowds of people, and I don't like crowds. I've sat on park benches for hours watching people go by... standing near them and listening to their conversations... watching their postures and their mating dances, and the sex hustlers at work. They're not much different from the pigeons I see every day; a little more complicated, but... that's about it. Any life that does not have The Divine... as the centerpiece of its existence... is a wasted life. You may not think so now, but you most certainly will at a later point.

When a person is on their deathbed, an angel is sent to distract them from thoughts of God. This will have no effect on the person who has had God in their thoughts all along, BUT... those whose interests have been in another direction... have not a prayer.

It is said that all you have to do is to have the name of The Amitabha Buddha on your lips at the time of your passing, and you will go directly to his Western Pure Land, AND... you can take all your further incarnations there. That sounds like a sweet deal, and it is a sweet deal... the very sweetest deal there could be, BUT... if you have not had him in mind all through your life, he won't be on your lips in the end. So it is with all of them.

As Paramhansa Yogananda said; “If you don't search for God in the springtime of your life, he won't be there in the winter.”

The three forces of Sattva (Mercury)... Rajas (Sulfur)... and Tamas (Salt) run through the whole of the existence of the manifest plane. They are the active forces of Nature. They are in Nature. It is through our responses to these forces that we incur Karma; Good and Bad. Karma is a driving force, and... Karma is a weight. It is another form of gravity that operates in The Mind. It is the mechanism that is engaged in the aging process. It is how your face becomes a roadmap of where you've been and who you've been.

I'm not wailing on an orange crate in the public park. That's not my style. I'm not here to tell you the end is near. The end is always near. The World ends for any number of people every... single... day. I'm not into Old Testament Jeremiads. If you want to get people's attention... in a positive fashion... it's best not to yell at them.

I don't know how much most people are noticing... the waves of insanity... that are blowing round The World and increasing by the day. I can tell you this is so, and never before have people been so desperate to get noticed... never before have so many people been so driven in pursuit of celebrity by any means necessary. Here's one way to get on TV.

This is actually tame... compared to some of the obsessions and compulsions I know about. At the bottom of this mystery of madness is something wonderful.

I've mentioned this before, and I'm going to mention it again. When The Avatar descends into material form... he comes down from the planes of light... through thought,... feeling, and... force... into form. As he comes he cleans out each plane of existence because in between the times of The Avatar's visits... that happens... roughly every two thousand years... corruption soon returns to their previous locations in forms similar to the ones they possessed before The Lord of Light drove them down... and... out.

This is how it comes to be that, “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Only the very highest planes are sacrosanct. Corruption can get in just about anywhere that is left untended. The Higher Mysteries are ALWAYS protected.

The Avatar comes with a metaphorical broom and sweeps these locations clean, and drives the agents of darkness down... and... out, into The Material Sphere. This is why there is so much insanity because many minds are unlocked cars... open sewer lines... minds disposed to the very pursuits and appetites that demons are attracted to. It's a union made in Hell. If you don't have the one unity, you will get the other union by default, and there is nothing unifying in it.

These forces that are driven out from the inner planes have to go somewhere, and they head for any untended lifeforms. In Times of Material Darkness, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Access is a piece of decomposing cake. Looting... pillaging... carjacking... are all external reflections of what is happening in The Hive Mind. The Outside World depends on The Inside World for all of its inspiration and guidance, both good and bad; As Above... So Below.

It's the mission creep of bad habits even unto the third generation. Unlike the traditional apple, the road apple can roll a long way from its point of origin. Ignorance is destroyed by the knowledge of The Self within... until that self makes its presence known, ignorance and deception await on either side of the road.

All Hell is breaking loose right now. Under the veil of appearances... awful creatures move in The Mist. They are creations of The Mind. They are not real, BUT... they seem to be real, and FEAR gives them substance, All those Biblical commentaries work in reverse fashion too... such as... Faith is The Substance of things unseen, alternatively presenting as Fear is The Substance of things unseen.

And... to paraphrase The Bible, let those who mock and sneer... mock and sneer still. Let those who are puffed up in their vanities and self-importance continue still. Let everyone go as it seems most important for them to... because... they are under their own guidance and taking others with them too.

None of the high-tension pressure and jump-scare shadows are real, BUT... for those without interior guidance... they get more real by the day, and they feed on their organs till their cells turn upon them. Life goes sideways and ALL OF IT is for The Purpose of Demonstration to get you pointed in the right direction. Things go wrong in order for them to be set right.

The Light is breaking on The Darkness, and The Darkness is most disturbed about it, and can do nothing to alter it. They are going to do as much harm as they can on their way out. Do not put your attention on their desperate efforts for survival. Let your heart swell with certitude at the presence of The Avatar within. You need a guidance system? You got one.

Chapter 5 (Renounce and Rejoice)

ARJUNA

O Krishna, you have recommended both the path of selfless action and sannyasa, the path of renunciation of action. Tell me definitely which is better.

KRISHNA

Both renunciation of action and the selfless performance of action lead to the supreme goal. But the path of action is better than renunciation. Those who have attained perfect renunciation are free from any sense of duality; they are unaffected by likes and dislikes, Arjuna, and are free from the bondage of self-will.

The immature think that knowledge and action are different, but the wise see them as the same. The person who is established in one path will attain the rewards of both. The goal of knowledge and the goal of service are the same; those who fail to see this are blind. Perfect renunciation is difficult to attain without performing action. But the wise, following the path of selfless service, quickly reach Brahman.

Those who follow the path of service, who have completely purified themselves and conquered their senses and self-will, see the Self in all creatures and are untouched by any action they perform. Those who know this truth, whose consciousness is unified, think always, “I am not the doer.” While seeing or hearing, touching or smelling; eating, moving about, or sleeping; breathing or speaking, letting go or holding on, even opening or closing the eyes, they understand that these are only the movements of the senses among sense objects.

Those who surrender to Brahman all selfish attachments are like the leaf of a lotus floating clean and dry in water. Sin cannot touch them. Renouncing their selfish attachments, those who follow the path of service work with body, senses, and mind for the sake of self-purification. Those whose consciousness is unified abandon all attachment to the results of action and attain supreme peace. But those whose desires are fragmented, who are selfishly attached to the results of their work, are bound in everything they do.

Those who renounce attachment in all their deeds live content in the “city of nine gates,” the body, as its master. They are not driven to act, nor do they involve others in action.

Neither the sense of acting nor actions nor the connection of cause and effect comes from the Lord of this world. These three arise from nature.

The Lord does not partake in the good and evil deeds of any person; judgment is clouded when wisdom is obscured by ignorance. But ignorance is destroyed by knowledge of the Self within. The light of this knowledge shines like the sun, revealing the supreme Brahman.

Those who cast off sin through this knowledge, absorbed in the Lord and established in him as their one goal and refuge, are not reborn as separate creatures.

Those who possess this wisdom have equal regard for all. They see the same Self in a spiritual aspirant and an outcaste, in an elephant, a cow, and a dog. Such people have mastered life. With even mind they rest in Brahman, who is perfect and is everywhere the same. They are not elated by good fortune nor depressed by bad. With mind established in Brahman, they are free from delusion.

Not dependent on any external support, they realize the joy of spiritual awareness. With consciousness unified through meditation, they live in abiding joy.
